The Chief Executive Officer of Bibiani Goldstars, Kwasi Adu has declared unequivocally that Dreams FC's successful African campaign this season has disproved the belief held by the majority of football fanatics that Ghana football is in decline.

Some Ghanaians over the years have said that their sudden love for foreign football to the neglect of the domestic football is because the local leagues are not competitive.

But Kwasi Adu in interview asserted Dreams FC's performance in this year’s CAF Confederation Cup campaign is clear indication that Ghana football is not sinking as purported to be.

“The smaller clubs are also getting good materials to compete with the giants. Dreams FC has nullified the perception that Ghana football is sinking. Before the Africa campaign, some football fanatics and to a larger extent, the media thought they were going to just add up to the numbers but they’ve proved them wrong. Dreams FC’s performance in Africa this season should tell everyone that our game is not sinking as purported to be” he said.

The Still Believe lads defied all odds to reach the semifinals of their maiden participation in the Confederation Cup campaign.

Dreams FC were on the brink of making history, but things fell apart after succumbing to a heavy defeat at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday to Zamalek.

The Ghana FA Cup holders went into the return leg with the advantage after holding the Egyptian powerhouse to a pulsating goalless draw in the first leg played at the Cairo International Stadium.

But the Ghanaian outfits’ hopes of reaching the finals dashed after succumbing to a 3-0 defeat.
