Ghanaian attacker Hafiz Konkoni Wontah has completed a move to Ethiopian Coffee FC ahead of the new season following his departure from Tanzanian giants Young Africans.

The former Bechem United forward penned a two-year contract that will keep him Ethiopia until the summer of 2026.

Konkoni is expected to play a huge role for Ethiopian Coffee FC as they seek to make impact in the upcoming campaign.

The 25-year-old attacker departed Bechem United to join Young Africans in July 2023 after impressing in the Ghana Premier League.

He netted 15 goals in 29 matches for the Hunters in the 2022-23 campaign, earning him an invitation to the Ghana national team for Madagascar clash during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

The enterprising forward was unable to make impact at Young Africans due to injury setbacks.

However, the Tanzanian club loaned out the Ghanaian striker to Libyan club Olympic Azzaweya in a bid to secure much playing time last season.

Konkoni will be a valuable asset for the Ethiopian Coffee considering his qualities as a striker.

He joins compatriot Danlad Ibrahim, who recently secured a move to the Ethiopian club after Kotoko’s departure.
