Karela coach Abukari Damba hails players great character after narrow win over Nations FC

Karela United coach Abukari Damba has eulogized his players for exhibiting great character to secure victory over Nations FC in the Ghana Premier League.

The former Anyinase-based secured a narrow win over Nations FC at the Naa Sheriga Sports Complex at the weekend.

Giyasu Ibrahim’s goal was enough for Karela United to snatch the three maximum points in matchday 29 of the Premier League campaign.

Karela United are now twelve on the domestic top-flight standings with 27 points, with five games to end the campaign.

Speaking after the game, the former Ghana goalkeeper showered praise on his players for the top performance they exhibited to secure victory against Nations FC.

“I will congratulate my players for the effort. They showed a great character amidst playing against a very difficult team to break down”

“Nations are doing so well in the league. They have so much quality and play with momentum. They gave us a real tough time but my players stood up with the test” he said.

Karela United next Premier League fixture is against Bechem United at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park.
