Karela United coach Abukari Damba has admitted his outfit did not secure victory against Nations FC on a silver platter.

The former Anyinase-based cruised to a 1-0 win over Nations FC at the Naa Sheriga Sports Complex at the weekend.

Giyasu Ibrahim’s goal was enough for Karela United to snatch the three maximum points in matchday 29 of the Premier League campaign.

Karela United are now twelve on the domestic top-flight standings with 27 points, with five games to end the campaign.

After the game, Abukari Damba admitted Nations FC gave his outfit a real tough test in the encounter.

“I will congratulate my players for the effort. They showed a great character amidst playing against a very difficult team to break down”

“Nations are doing so well in the league. They have so much quality and play with momentum. They gave us a real tough time but my players stood up with the test” he said.

Karela United next Premier League fixture is against Bechem United at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park.
