Nations FC coach Kasim Ocansey Mingle believes his outfit were dominant against Karela United despite succumbing to defeat.

The Premier League debutants suffered a 1-0 defeat at hands of Karela United in matchday 29 of the Ghanaian top-flight at the weekend.

Giyasu Ibrahim’s goal propelled Karela United to triumph over Nations FC to snatch the three maximum points.

Speaking after the game, Mingle expressed his side dominated Karela United in the game but unfortunately lost.

“We went into the game with the mentality of holding onto the ball, possess it and then, when the opportunity comes we score”

“We dominated the game. We kept the ball as much as possible and then, take them on and move. Unfortunately for us, most of our moves towards goal was flagged offside. You saw the penalty against us and the one we had. I won’t comment much about officiating” he said.

Despite recent poor performance, Nations FC remains second on the Ghana Premier League table with 45 points, seven points adrift log leaders Samartex.
