Israel Amewu, the talented winger of Tema City FC, has received an invitation to join Ghana's U Black Satellites team.

The player, who is also the son of Peter Amewu, Member of Parliament for Hohoe Constituency and Minister of Railways, will join the third group of players invited to train with the Satellites.

Coach Samuel Boadu and his technical staff have already evaluated two different sets of players as they continue their search for potential players to form the core of the Black Satellites.

Israel Amewu's inclusion in the screening process, scheduled for March 22 at the Ghanaman Centre of Excellence in Prampram, will provide him with an opportunity to showcase his abilities and impress the coaches.

Israel Amewu's recent outstanding performances for Tema City FC earned him the late call-up.

The club took to social media to wish their player well ahead of the screening. "Congratulations Israel, we are proud of you and we know you will make Temarians Proud," the club said.
