Former Liberty Professionals midfielder Issah Yakubu will resume training with his teammates at Al-Arabi next month ahead of the return of football in Kuwait.

The Ghanaian international joined the Kuwaiti outfit on loan from Lebanese side Ahed in the January transfer window on a 6-month deal.

Just as he was beginning to settle, the Coronavirus (Covid-19) crisis escalated with the Kuwaiti government deciding to suspended football activities in a bid to stop the spread of the deadly disease.

Three months on, clubs have now been given the clear to start training next month as arrangements continue for the restart of the season.

Al-Arabi after following all the safety and health protocols has summoned its teammates and they will commence training in the first week of July.

In line with that, Issah Yakubu whose loan deal will soon end is expected to sign a short extension to allow him to stay with the club until the end of the 2019/2020 football season.
