Former Black Queens head coach, Bashir Hayford has indicated that it is easier to gain worldwide recognition when working in another country.

The experienced coach has had the opportunity of handling a number of the Ghana Premier League clubs. In addition to that, he has coached a couple of national teams as well.

Assessing his recent spell with the Somalia national team to his exploits in his native country, Coach Bashir Hayford has shared that working outside the country exposed him to the world more.

He told West FM “Coaching outside your country makes it easier for the world and people to know who you are and what you can do”.

“When I was in Somalia, top journalists and radio/TV stations across the world used to call me and find out why I chose Somalia because it's not easy to live there”.

Bashir Hayford is currently attached to no club or national team after partying ways with the Somalia national team a few months ago. He hopes to get an appointment as the Technical Director for the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
