Ghana captain Andre Ayew has said that winning the FIFA U-20 World Cup title requires talent and nothing else.

The 33-year-old led the Black Satellites to clinch the U-20 World Cup in Egypt after defeating Brazil in the final.

Until now, Ghana remains the only African country to have annex the covetous trophy.

Speaking to FIFA, Ayew indicated talent is enough to win the FIFA U-20 trophy.

“It takes talent. It's not an AFCON, a EURO, a Copa America or a seniors World Cup, but it is close. These days, there are many players in this age category who are already professionals” he said.

Ayew and some Black Satellites players earned promotion to the Black Stars after their exploits at the 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Egypt.

The Nottingham Forest is now Ghana's most capped player with 113 appearances at senior level, beating the record held by Asamoah Gyan before the World Cup in Qatar.
