Former Ghana international James Kuuku Dadzie has hailed the appointment of Otto Addo as the head coach of the Black Stars coach.

The outgoing Talent Development coach of Borussia Dortmund is back for a second spell with the Black Stars after being handed a three-year contract with an option to extend for two-years.

He replaces Chris Hughton who was shown the exit door following the Black Stars poor showing at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast, where Ghana bowed out at group stage.

Otto Addo’s appointment has generated a lot of argument among football fanatics in the country.

But the former Ghana defender has backed the domestic football governing body’s decision to appoint Otto Addo to lead the national team again.

“A lot of coaches applied for the Black Stars and the committee felt Otto Addo can do the job. I believe it’s a good decision and we must pray for him to succeed”

“We shouldn’t be negative, we should be positive, that he will deliver and that is the spirit. He has been given the job whether you like it or not, so we just have to support him to do the right things” he told Kessben FM monitored by Footballghana.com.

Otto Addo has already led the Black Stars in two games since assuming his role as the head coach of the Black Stars.

He was in charge when the Black Stars suffered a 2-1 defeat to Nigeria before playing out a 2-2 draw with the Cranes of Uganda during the Match international friendlies.
