Dutch-born defender of Ghanaian descent, Jeremie Frimpong has been named as the Celtic's young player of the season for the 2019/2020 football season.

The highly-rated right-back joined the Scottish giants in the summer transfer window of 2019 from English Premier League side Manchester City.

In the first round of the Scottish top-flight league, the teenager could not play much as he took time to understudy experienced defenders at the club.

Later after breaking into the starting eleven of the Celtic's team, Jeremie Frimpong was unstoppable as he earned applause for his outstanding performances in matches.

At the end of the football season in Scotland, he was nominated for the Celtic's young player of the year award alongside Ajer and Odsonne Edouard.

Following a voting exercise, Jeremie Frimpong has won the enviable award for his impressive displays in the season.

In the 2019/2020 season, the 19-year-old made 14 appearances and scored 2 goals while providing 3 assists.
