John Boye set for a contract extension at FC Metz

Ghanaian international John Boye is set to sign a one-year contract extension at FC Metz, footballghana.com can exclusively report.

The Black Stars asset joined the French Ligue 1 club in 2018 on a free transfer after his contract with the Turkish Super Lig side Sivasspor expired.

With his initial contract with FC Metz set to run out on June 30, 2020, the club has decided to hand him an extension. This has become necessary especially after the Coronavirus (Covid-19) crisis had a toll on the finances of clubs in France.

Officials of the club are believed to have been very impressed with his inputs in the 2019/2020 season and want to keep him for the next season.

In the recently ended French Ligue 1 campaign, John Boye made 24 appearances and chipped in with 2 important goals.
