Joining St Patrick’s easy decision to make because of my previous relationship with fans – Joseph Anang

Ghana goalkeeper Joseph Anang says making the decision to sign for St Patrick’s Athletic was easy because of the previews relationships he built at the club.

The 24-year-old joined St Pat's on loan from West Ham in January 2022, making 30 appearances and keeping 12 clean sheets while playing every minute of every game before being recalled.

Following the expiration of his contract with the English Premier League club, he signed a permanent two-and-a-half-year deal with St Pat's.

Explaining how he arrived at the decision to return and play in the Irish Premier League, the former Wa All Stars goalkeeper said his relationship with the supporters was a big factor.

“I also want to speak about the St Patrick's Athletic supporters, they showed me a lot of love when I first came to the club two years ago, so with that factored into my decision too, coming back was a no brainer really.

“I'm delighted to get the ball rolling again and to get the deal done."
