After more than a month off due to a thigh muscle injury, German-born Ghanaian youngster Justin Diehl returned to FC Köln's team training on Friday, as reported by GEISSBLOG.

The offensive talent was able to participate in all of the exercises, marking a significant step towards his comeback.

Despite his return to training, Diehl is not yet an immediate option for the Reinland squad. He still needs to work on his fitness after an extended period of absence. As a result, he will not be included in the team for the home game against SV Darmstadt 98 on Saturday afternoon.

However, a comeback on the next matchday against Mainz 05 on April 28 is now a real possibility. Diehl has made six appearances in the Bundesliga this season, showcasing his potential as a promising young winger.

As he continues to recover and regain his fitness, Diehl is also preparing for a new chapter in his career. The 19-year-old is set to leave FC Köln at the end of the season and join Stuttgart, where he will look to make his mark and continue his development as a professional footballer.
