KRC Genk confirm Paintsil’s move

Belgian Pro League side have Genk have confirmed that they have reached an agreemen for the sale of Ghana midfielder Joseph Paintsil.

The budding offensive midfielder is scheduled to sign a four-year deal with The Smurfs plus another optional one-year if he passes his medical.

In an official release on the KRC Genk website, the Belgian giants described Paintsil as a good acquisition who has been the best player in the Hungarian League this ended season.

“Paintsil is an arrow-fast flank attacker that can also be used centrally. Joseph is seen as the revelation of the Hungarian league and caught the attention of various top clubs.” The club posted on their website.

“In his 27 games for Ferencvarosi last season, he scored not less than 10 times and gave 7 assists.”

Paintsil played for Ghanaian side Tema Youth before moving to Ferencváros in the summer of 2017.

He will become the second Ghanaian in the Genk team with the other one being Joseph Aidoo.
