Kwadwo Asamoah was my favourite Black Stars teammate - Ghana legend Asamoah Gyan

Ghana legend Asamoah Gyan has picked Kwadwo Asamoah as his favourite teammate during his spell with the senior national soccer team, the Black Stars, overlooking Michael Essien, Sulley Muntari, and Stephen Appiah among others.

Gyan combined so well with Kwadwo Asamoah to help the Black Stars reach the quarterfinals of the 2010 World Cup and also the finals of the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations.

The duo played huge role for the Black Stars outstanding performance back in the days. Kwadwo Asamoah assisted Gyan to score several goals for the national team at the time.

Despite playing with top players during his stint with the West Africa powerhouse, the former Sunderland star has named the former Juventus midfielder as his favourite Black Stars teammate, insisting he cracks him up with jokes all the time.

"There were a lot of players I played with, but Kwadwo Asamoah was my favourite teammate. He became my roommate. He is shy but he is very humourous. He cracks jokes a lot," he added.

The duo have already hanged up their boost and are currently into different activities.

Asamoah Gyan was recently named as the leader of Dr. Bawumia’s manifesto committee.

Kwadwo Asamoah, on the other hand, is currently into football management as he aim to unearth talents for the country.
