Ghanaian international Kwame Kizito says he is worried as his Swedish side Falkenbergs FF continue to train at a time where the Coronavirus (Covid-19) has become a global pandemic.

The novel virus which was first recorded in the city of Wuhan in the Hubei province has after 2 months spread to over 130 countries with a case recorded in every continent.

Scandinavian country Sweden has been no different with at least 24 confirmed cases of Covid-19 as of Tuesday.

Unlike other countries where a suspension has been put on public gatherings forcing sporting activities to be put on hold, the Swedish authorities are yet to take such a decision.

Due to that, the Swedish Allsvenskan is expected to commence in April as planned. Kwame Kizito who plays for Falkenbergs FF is expected to train with his teammates and has been doing so amidst all the scare in the country.

In an interview with Big FM, the former Hearts of Oak striker says he is greatly concerned.

“We’re also dealing with the coronavirus here in Sweden like any other country.

“The Swedish Allsvenskan starts in April but the coronavirus outbreak has thrown everything into chaos and reports suggest that it will be postponed to June but we’re waiting for official release to confirm it.

“Sweden has not been hit hard like Spain, Italy and other countries and so we’ve not been barred from going to a public gathering therefore I’ll say it’s calm out here”, he said.

He added, “I don’t feel comfortable during our training sessions due to the outbreak and I’m hoping they will take preventive measures by halting training, but they insist we continue training. I’m protecting myself though”.
