Leicester City manager Enzo Maresca has expressed his delight about the performance of Ghana international, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku following their triumph over West Bromwich Albion in the English Championship.

The Black Stars winger lasted the entire duration as the Foxes cruised to a 2-1 win over their opponent at the King Power Stadium.

Issahaku, who is loan from Sporting Lisbon delivered an assist to help his side secure maximum points on home turf, as the battle for Premier League qualification continues.

“We tried to attract them in our side and to play some long balls for Stephy Mavididi, for Abdul Fatawu, it was just the plan of the game. I’m very, very happy for him (Ndidi), very happy for all of them. We have no doubt about Jamie, absolutely," said Maresca after the game.

The Foxes shot into the lead in the 22nd minute when Wilfred Ndidi scored with a right-footed shot from close range, sending the ball to the high center of the goal.

In the 65th minute, Leicester striker Jamie Vardy headed in a goal from close range, with the assist coming from Abdul Fatawu's cross. This marked Issahaku's 11th assist of the season.

West Bromwich Albion's Jed Wallace scored in the 76th minute with a left-footed shot from the left side of the box, assisted by Cédric Kipré. However, it was not enough to overturn Leicester City's lead.

Issahaku has made 37 appearances this season, scoring three goals and assisting eleven in the Championship. Leicester City's next league game will be against Southampton.
