Antoine Semenyo reflects on the unforgettable 2023-24 season following his new contract signing with AFC Bournemouth.

Despite having three years remaining on his previous deal, the Ghanaian international's outstanding performances earned him a lucrative five-year extension, securing his future with the Cherries until 2029.

Under the guidance of new manager Andoni Iraola last season, Semenyo initially faced uncertainty about his role but quickly cemented himself as a crucial figure, particularly excelling on the right wing.

His contribution included eight goals in 36 Premier League appearances, a feat that underscored his importance to the team.

Speaking to Cherries’ club media, the 24-year-old expressed gratitude for the season's highlights, emphasizing the lessons learned from his journey in football.

“Last season was one I’ll never forget,” Semenyo told Cherries’ club media. “We showed what we’re capable of.

“My journey has taught me to never take anything for granted. Take each moment when it comes.

“It’s an exciting new era. Let’s keep pushing," he added.

Looking ahead to the upcoming 2024/25 Premier League campaign, Semenyo is eager to continue pushing boundaries in what he describes as an exciting new chapter for AFC Bournemouth.
