Manchester United midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin has emerged as a target for Alan Pardew and Crystal Palace, having been pushed aside by new boss Jose Mourinho, per theMirror.

Schneiderlin joined the Red Devils from Southamptonfor £25m under Louis van Gaal last summer, but has seen his playing time restricted to just five minutes of Premier League action under Mourinho.

The Portuguese pulled the plug on the 26-year-old at half-time on Thursday, as the team slumped to a 2-1 defeat against Fenerbahce in the Europa League.

Pardew, who managed the player in the 2009/10 season when Southampton were still in League One, is said to be interested in signing him for Palace.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is keen on Schneiderlin as well. Spurs had a summer moved blocked, but the club remain interested, and are monitoring the situation.

United have bounced back from Thursday's loss with a 3-1 away win over Swansea on Sunday. New signingsZlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba both got on the scoresheet, and Wayne Rooney, who has come under heavy criticism in recent times, looked quite lively and had a huge impact.

Palace, meanwhile, are still licking their wounds after being shocked by Burnley, who stole a 3-2 win on Saturday.

"I can't really gather the troops now and talk things through, as they won't be here," Pardewsaid in the wake of the defeat.

"But it is just so frustrating for my team, who have given everything, the fans have given everything and we have come away with nothing, which is a bit galling."
