Mohammed Kudus named in Europa League Team of the Week despite West Ham’s exit

Ghana star Mohammed Kudus has been named in the Europa League Team of the Week despite his team, West Ham United getting kicked of the competition by German Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen.

However, the 23-year-old’s performance in the 1-1 draw at the London Stadium on Thursday night was good enough to earn him a place in the SofaScore best XI of the week after the quarterfinal second leg fixtures.

The one all draw was not enough as the Hammers could not overturn a 2-0 deficit from the first leg in Germany.

Mohammed Kudus created as many as three chances in the game, which was the most by any player on the pitch.

Also, the Black Stars’ attacking midfielder completed the most dribbles by any player on the pitch with his four on the night.

West Ham had a dream start to the game when Michail Antonio put them ahead after 13 minutes but they could not build on it and conceded in the 89th minute from a Jeremie Frimpong strike.
