The Morocco female U-20 team on Thursday morning posted a 1-0 defeat over the Ghana female U-20 team in an international friendly match staged at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The two teams were in action today in the first of two planned international friendly matches all set to be played in Ghana.

In a first half of many chances, it was the Moroccans that made their efforts count before the break. The side scored through an equalizer from striker Banouk Safa to ensure they went into the break with the lead.

Although the Ghana Black Princesses chased the game in the second half with some good performances, the team could not find the back of the net and have been condemned to the defeat at the end of the 90 minutes.

Both Ghana and Morocco are using the friendly matches to prepare for the FIFA Women's U-20 World Cup qualifiers in 2021.

The two teams will meet again on Monday, November 30 in another friendly at the Accra Sports Stadium.
