MTN FA Cup: Dreams FC beat Liberty Professionals 3-0 to progress to next round
Dreams FC brushed aside Division One side Liberty Professionals to progress to the round of 16 of the FA Cup on Saturday afternoon.
Dreams FC took the lead in the 13th minute when Gael Aholou scored with a wonderful header.
Emmanuel Adade increased the advantage when his deflected shot escaped the whole opposing backline before finding the back of the net.
Liberty Professionals looked off and were outplayed throughout the first half, although they came so close to cutting their lead in the 35th minute, but a fantastic piece of defense by Ali Ibrahim saved the hosts from conceding.
Simba Sylvester came so close to scoring the third goal in the second half, but his effort missed the target by inches.
Solomon Agbasi made a wonderful stop to deny the Scientific Soccer boys a golden opportunity to score.
In the 88th minute, Ali Huzaif finally scored a solo goal to secure the victory. Dreams FC won 3-0 and advanced easily to the quarterfinals.
Dreams FC now turn its attention to their league game against Kotoku Royals.
