MTN FA Cup: Medeama SC through to Round 32 after beating Holy Stars 1-0

Ghana Premier League champions, Medeama Sporting Club have qualified for the Round 32 stage of this season’s MTN FA Cup.

The team based in Tarkwa on Wednesday, December 13, hosted Basake Holy Stars at the Akoon Park in a Round 64 encounter of the domestic cup competition.

In the close contest that ensued between the two teams, only one goal was scored with the equalizer coming in the first half.

A solitary strike from Kudakwashe Mahachi powered Medeama Sporting Club to the narrow win over Basake Holy Stars in the MTN FA Cup.

Despite both teams creating so many chances in the second half, neither side could score again.

Courtesy of the win for Medeama SC, the Ghana Premier League champions are through to the Round 32 stage of this season’s MTN FA Cup.

In the Round of 32, Medeama Sporting Club will face off with Skyy Football Club.
