Black Stars midfield kingpin, Mubarak Wakaso was red-carded on Saturday afternoon during Deportivo Alaves’ Spanish La Liga fixture against Granada.
The hardworking middle-man has been a key figure in the setup of his club since the start of the 2019/2020 campaign and was given another starting role this afternoon.
Goals from Carlos Fernandez and Roberto Soldado gave Granada who played as the home team a two-goal cushion some 15 minutes into the second half and well on their way to victory.
While Alaves searched for a way back into the match, Mubarak Wakaso got himself into trouble when he committed a bad offense. He was subsequently shown a second yellow card before being sent off.
Later in the match, Yangel Herrera also got on the scoresheet to give Granada a 3-0 win at the end of the 90 minutes.
Wakaso will serve a one-match ban for his sending off and is set to miss Deportivo Alaves’s next match against Leganes in the Spanish La Liga.
