Mudasiru Salifu’s Al Batin FC relegated from Saudi Pro League

Ghanaian midfielder Mudasiru Salifu has suffered relegation from the Saudi Pro League with Al Batin FC after sharing the spoils in the penultimate game on Saturday.

The former Kotoko player was deployed as centre-back and lasted the entire duration of the clash.

Al Batin were unable to beat Al Adalh as they played a 2-2 draw against Al Adalh Club in the Saudi Arabian top-flight.

The draw wasn't enough to prevent Al Batin from being relegated from the Saudi top division with a match to spare.

Al Batin shot into the lead through Uruguayan forward Renzo Lopez Patron, who found the back of the net in the 43rd minute mark but the visitors restored parity in the additional minutes of the first half through David Tijanic.

The home team restored their lead after the break after founding the back of the net in the 67th minute through Saudi Arabian forward Youssef Al Shammari. But Al Adalh drew level in stoppage-time through Reinaldo Lenis.

The draw means Al Batin have been relegated from the top-flight and are expected to feature in the second-tier next season.

Al Batin remains bottom of the league with 20 points from 29 games.

Salifu joined Al Batin for the second half of the season on loan from Kotoko and has played 15 matches so far in the season.
