My best GFA president is Kwesi Nyantakyi - Abdul Salam

Owner of New Edubiase Football Club, Abdul Salam Yakubu has noted that Lawyer Kwesi Nyantakyi is his best Ghana Football Association (GFA) president.

The former leader of the country’s football governing body worked between 2015 and 2018 where he ensured the Black Stars went to 3 World Cups.

An Anas Aremeyaw Anas investigative video in 2018 after exposing the rot going on in the Ghana FA forced Lawyer Kwesi Nyantakyi to resign from his post as FIFA slapped him with a life ban in the process.

Despite his unfortunate end, Abdul Salam Yakubu insists that he remains his best ever Ghana FA President.

"Kwesi Nyantakyi is my best FA president. I had the chance to see Alhaji Jawula, Nana Sam Brew-Butler, Nyaho Tamakloe, and Kwesi Nyantakyi, but I'd say Nyantakyi was the best among them”, the New Edubiase owner told Ashaiman TV.

“It was under his guidance when the Black Stars was branded, players respond to national call ups with smiles on their faces, qualified the country to the world cup, won the world cup with the U 20.”

“It's so unfortunate the end didn't go well for him. At a point, we had wanted him to hand over to George who was his vice. He really prepared George for the post."

"The game-changer has now taken over. I'm hoping he can emulate his predecessor and take our game to a different level”, he added.

Kwesi Nyantakyi's place has been taken by Kurt Okraku who was voted for at an elective congress in 2019.
