Nations FC confirm transfer of duo Asamoah Boateng Afriyie and Michael Awuah Mensah to Hearts of Oak

Ghana Premier League outfit Nations FC have announced the transfer of duo of Asamoah Boateng Afriyie and Michael Awuah Mensah to giants Hearts of Oak.

The pair leaves the Abrankese-based club to join Hearts of Oak following an impressive performance last season.

Both players have left an indelible mark on the club’s history, being integral members of the team that secured promotion to the Ghana Premier League in the 2023/24 season.

“Nations FC wishes to announce the permanent transfers of forward Asamoah Boateng Afriyie and defender Micheal Awuah Mensah to Accra Hearts of Oak. The club extends its heartfelt wishes to both players as they embark on their new journey and expresses profound gratitude for their incredible dedication and contributions during their tenure at Nations FC”

“We wish Asamoah and Awuah the very best in their future endeavors at Accra Hearts of Oak and thank them for their exemplary service to Nations Football Club” the wrote on their website.

They were instrumental for Nations FC in the recently concluded Ghana Premier League season as they finished seventh in their debut campaign.

Asamoah Boateng, 26, scored 12 goals across competitions for Nations FC last season.

Awuah Mensah, on the other hand, was also rock-solid at the back for Nations FC, preventing a host of strikers from finding the net last season.

The arrival of the duo will help strengthen the Phobian team ahead of the 2024/25 season following an abysmal performance last season.

Hearts of Oak finished 14th at the end of the league season and are eager to make impact in the upcoming campaign.
