Nordsjaelland reject first bid from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) for Ghana’s Ernest Nuamah

Danish top flight side Nordsjaelland have rejected a bid from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) for their highly sought-after young talent, Ernest Nuamah.

The 19-year-old Ghanaian left winger has been garnering attention from top European clubs following his exceptional performances in the 2022/23 season, where he was named the best player in the Danish league.

The interest from PSG in securing Nuamah's services has been reported by French newspaper L’Equipe.

The French giants made at least one offer to bring the promising winger to their squad, but Nordsjaelland firmly turned down the initial bid.

The money involved so far has not been disclosed but transfermarkt.com values him at 6 million euros.

Nuamah's recent contract extension with Nordsjaelland binds him to the club until June 2026.

During the 2022/23 season, he showcased his goal-scoring abilities by finding the net on 15 occasions and also contributed with 4 assists across all competitions.

The Ghanaian winger's talents have not only been recognized domestically but have also earned him a spot in the national team, the Black Stars.

Nuamah made his international debut in June during a 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Madagascar.

Aside from PSG, other French clubs are also vying for the opportunity to sign Nuamah. Lille and Reims have reportedly expressed interest in securing the services of the young winger, adding further competition to the race for his signature.
