The President of Dreams FC urged his squad to rise to the occasion and compete in the CAF Confederations Cup, even while financial concerns hung over the elite competition.

Coach Karim Zito shared insights ahead of their upcoming encounter with Nigerian giants Rivers United, revealing the pivotal role their club president played in solidifying their resolve.

Following their triumphant victory in the FA Cup last season, Dreams FC secured a spot in the highly competitive CAF Confederations Cup. However, doubts crept in among the players and staff as they contemplated the financial burdens associated with traveling for games both at home and abroad.

Coach Karim Zito, speaking honestly about the team's initial hesitations, highlighted the weight of financial considerations that hovered over their participation.

"Our management when we went for deliberation on it we were not all in agreement for us to go it was the financial issue and the quality of the team," he told Peace FM as monitored by Footballghana.com

"At the end of the day we all agreed we should participate at least what the President told us is this is what we use to thank the boys because it is not easy a young club like this and you have been able to win the FA Cup in Ghana so we should go.

"That was the beginning we put things into action and the players accepted to play so little by little we have gotten to this point today,"
