Out-of-contract Hearts of Oak midfielder Salifu Ibrahim is tight-lipped after being linked with a move to Asante Kotoko in the ongoing transfer window.

The former Eleven Wonders star, who has been a standout for the Phobians since his arrival back in 2021 is currently out of contract.

The midfielder is set to join a new club ahead of the 2024/25 season following an unsuccessful contract extension renewal with the Phobians.

Reports went rife that a section of Asante Kotoko supporters are planning to secure the services of the highly-rated midfielder this window.

Speaking to Kessben FM monitored by Footballghana.com, the enterprising midfielder disclosed he has entrusted his management to negotiate for his next move.

When asked if he is joining Kotoko, he replied, “My manager is in charge of everything. I’m counting on him. The decision to join a new team does not rely solely on me. I have to reach consensus with my manager and family before taking any step"

Ibrahim joined Hearts of Oak in 2021 and played a pivotal role in their 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League title win.

He has earned both club and league MVP honours, solidifying his position as a top performer while helping the club win five trophies including the Ghana Premier League.

Despite showcasing glimpses of brilliance in the recently concluded season, Ibrahim managed only two goals and ten assists in 32 appearances.
