Ghanaian striker Patrick Agyemang showcased his skills with a stunning equalizer, but it was not enough to prevent Charlotte FC from a 2-1 defeat against Inter Miami CF in the Major League Soccer (MLS) on Saturday.

The match, held at the Bank of America Stadium, saw the two teams evenly matched, with a pre-game head-to-head record of two wins each and one draw.

The game sprung to life in the 30th minute when former Barcelona defender Jordi Alba orchestrated a beautiful move. He received a cross-field pass, overlapped Cremaschi, and delivered a precise pass to Robert Taylor, who slotted home an easy tap-in to give Miami the lead.

However, Agyemang responded with a spectacular individual effort in the 41st minute. Receiving a throw-in at the halfway line, he turned a Miami defender, skipped past another, and ran through on goal before slotting the ball into the bottom corner. The goal was briefly checked by VAR for a potential foul, but the referee's original decision stood, giving Agyemang his sixth goal of the season.

Just when the game seemed headed for a draw, Inter Miami snatched the winner in the 86th minute. Sergio Busquets launched a long ball to Gressel, who stayed onside and delivered a low, accurate cross to Benjamin Cremaschi. The Miami midfielder slid in to make contact and smashed the ball home past goalkeeper Kahlina.

The game ended on a sour note for Agyemang, who received a red card in the sixth minute of stoppage time for a needless kick on Bright while waiting for a free-kick. Despite the setback, Agyemang has had a productive season, scoring six goals and providing two assists in 21 games.
