Portugal: Emmanuel Hackman scores as Portimonense claim vital league win over Maritimo
Portimonense right back Emmanuel Hackman was on target during his side's fairly nervy 3-2 home win over Maritimo in Liga NOS.
The hosts got off to a great start. In the 23rd minute, Bruno Tabata found a way through the defense of Maritimo to score.
Aylton Boa Morte doubled the advantage for Portimonense with 39 minutes to go and kept the cushion till the end of the first half.
In the second half, Maritimo showed some fight and were rewarded with a consolation from Rodrigo Pinto in the 52nd minute.
The visitors pushed for an equalizer but were let undone six minutes later. Emmanuel Hackman picked up a feed from Ricardo Vaz Te to extend the lead. Miritimo pulled another one back in the 94th minute through Rodrigo Pinto but it was too little too late.
The 25 year old Ghanaian's goal was his first of the season after 15 league matches.
Portimonense are currently 17th on the log and Maritimo are 15th.
