Preparation for WAFU U-17 is going well - Henry Asante Twum

Ghana Football Association Communications Director Henry Asante Twum has expressed optimism about the ongoing preparations for the upcoming WAFU U-17 tournament, which is set to commence on May 15.

Ghana is honored to be hosting this prestigious competition, with participating countries, including Niger, already arriving in Accra.

Asante Twum shared that the Ghana Football Association has been working closely with the Ghana Police to ensure a secure environment for both the spectators and players.

"During this week on Tuesday we met the security management of Ghana Police regarding security both national and those where we will play the games Legon Police sat down and discussed the need to provide police at the match venues," he told Peace FM as monitored by Footballghana.com

"To protect both the fans and players Ghana Police has assured us that they are ready for it they will assign personnel to provide security during the competition. Apart that some countries have already arrived Niger are here so yesterday Black Starlets played a friendly game with them at the Accra Sports Stadium with Ghana beating them 2-0," he added.
