Yussif Basigi, the head coach of the Black Princesses, demonstrates unwavering confidence as his team gears up for the highly anticipated Women's football event at the 13th African Games, set to take place in Accra in 2023.

With meticulous preparation and intense training sessions, Basigi is optimistic about his team's prospects in the upcoming tournament.

Speaking to GFA Communications at the team's training camp, Basigi expressed his belief in the talent and determination of the players.

"Preparation is going on well but we are expecting some few players who are with the Black Queens and Ampem Darkoa Ladies to join us. The rest of the players in camp are working very hard and those away are also training and in shape. We are waiting for them to come back so we get them together to get the core of the team," he said.

"We are targeting the ultimate. Every team going into a competition, that’s the target and the Princesses is no exception. We won’t underestimate any country because all are equally good and coming with the same aim. Our aim is higher because we are eyeing this as a target and preparation towards the World Cup," he added.
