Samartex new signing Musah Zakari is aiming to justify to the fans why the leadership of the club decided to secure his signature.

The Timber giants made a significant addition to their squad with the signing of goalkeeper Musah Zakari in the ongoing transfer window.

Zakari joins the Samreboi-based club from Division One side Okwahu United, where he earned recognition for his standout performances last season.

Known by his nickname 'Ben Dida,' Zakari signed a  three-year deal and is expected to play a huge role for the club.

Speaking to the club’s media, Zakari express his move to Smartex gives him the opportunity to justify why the club signed him.

“There is no honeymoon on this journey because any move you make comes with its own challenges. In as much as I am excited, I also see it as a big challenge to prove to the supporters why the management decided to sign me”

The 23-year-old goalkeeper made a substantial impact in the Division One League, featuring in 23 matches and keeping 13 clean sheets.

Samartex are currently in the Eastern Region preparing for the new season. They feature in three competitions (FA Cup, Ghana Premier League and CAF Champions League).
