Ghanaian fullback Samuel Inkoom has given a positive review to the appointment of Charles Kwablan Akonnor as the Black Stars coach.

The 31 year old went on to state that he has the needed character to guide the senior national team and believes he will meet expectations.

“CK has played at the highest level in terms of football. He knows what is good for footballers. I knew him when I was young watching captain the Back Stars and also playing for Wolfsburg,” he told Joy News.

“He has that kind of character to handle the Black Stars. [It] is not every player who has played football can manage a team. But I think he has the character to handle the national team. I believe he will do well with his assistant coach David Duncan.  What’s important is that we all support CK Akonnor.”

Akonnor is was set to manage the team for the first time as head coach but the fixtures were postponed due to the coronavirus.
