Ghanaian fullback Samuel Inkoom is confident that he can play top level football again despite his advancement in age.

The 31 year old featured in the UEFA Champions League with Swiss side FC Basel and in the world cups 2010 and 2014 with the Black Stars.

He now finds himself with Georgian side Samtredia after a series of transfers across Europe. Despite the unfortunate turn of events in his career, he remains optimistic that he can return to the top.

“I’m a kind of guy that I always stay positive. I don’t give up just like that. All my life I’ve been struggling. I don’t wait for someone to tell me something will be good. I always say something good about myself,” he told Joy News.

“Everything depends on me. How I think and I handle things. If I am taking good care of myself. If I am training hard. If I stay focused, I don’t think I cannot get to the top again.”
