Sassuolo Calcio have denied reports circulating in the Italian media that they have opened up negotiations with Roma for the possible sale of youngster Claud Adhapong and striker Domenico Berardi

Adjapong 20, has been a revelation at Sassuolo making a total of 31 appearances scoring one goal and providing one assist since being promoted to the first in 2016.

Current coach of AS Roma Francesco Di Eusebio who promoted Adjapong to the Sassuolo first team from the Primavera squad during his stay at the Mapei Stadium is a big admirer of the Italian-born Ghanaian and has already targeted a reunion with him.

Reports in the Italian Media over the weekend were that Roma have started talks with Sassuolo over Adjapong and Berardi but the director of Sassuolo has emphasized that nothing has happened.

“We have not had contact with Roma for any player at the moment,” Sassuolo director general Giovanni Carnevali Carnevali told Centro Suono Sport.

Adjapong who plays for the Italian National Under 20 team made sixteen appearances netting one goal this ended season.
