Shrewsbury Town has officially announced the signing of Charles Sagoe Junior on a season-long loan from Arsenal.

The talented forward, who has been a long-term target for the Shrews, has signed a new two-year deal with the Gunners earlier this week before heading to Shropshire.

This marks Sagoe Junior's second loan spell, following a temporary stint with Championship side Swansea last year.

The 20-year-old forward brings a wealth of potential and experience to the team, and his addition is expected to bolster Shrewsbury Town's attacking options for the upcoming season.

Charles Sagoe Jr joined the Gunners' academy in Fulham in 2015.

Charles Sagoe Jr made 16 appearances across all competitions for the Arsenal academy, netting three goals and providing 10 assists. He also marked his first-team debut with a start in Arsenal's 1-0 Carabao Cup victory at Brentford in September 2023.

The versatile forward was also named among the substitutes in Arsenal's Premier League win against Burnley and their UEFA Champions League triumph over Sevilla in November 2023.

Charles Sagoe Jr is eligible to represent England and Ghana internationally.
