A lot of Ghanaians are unhappy with the performance of the Ghana U23 national team in the game against the Morocco U23 national team.

Nicknamed the Black Meteors, the Ghanaian side on Tuesday night suffered a humiliating 5-1 defeat to the host nation of the 2023 CAF U23 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

At the end of the game, there have been reactions on social media with many Ghanaians blaming Black Meteors coach Ibrahim Tanko for the disappointing performance and accompanying bad result.

“Again if this team qualifies for the Olympics games call me Jon.

“Let’s bounce back on Friday, let’s learn our lessons and start well against Guinea it ain’t over yet, Olympics dream is still on.

“I was very surprised to see Danlad again in the second half and what was our goalkeeper base in Germany doing at the beach ahhhh coach has really disappointed me.

“For the first time, I was so disappointed about my coach Tanko and we were tactically bad and that defender wearing number 7  is the most useless defender I have watched this year,” some of the comments on social media read.

There are other Ghanaians who also blame Ghana FA president Kurt Okraku and have lost hope in the chances of the Black Meteors qualifying for the 2024 Olympic Games in France.
