Head coach of the Black Satellites of Ghana, Desmond Ofei has applauded his players for having an incredible mentality.
The Ghana U20 men’s national team on Tuesday defeated Senegal by a goal to nil to reach the final of the men’s football tournament at the ongoing 13th African Games.
Speaking in a post-match interview, Coach Desmond Ofei commended the mentality of his players, adding that the final is for them.
“The final is for the players. For us coaches, the training is for us and the match is for the players. We guide them in the game, motivate them and give them the right inspiration to perform.
“We started camping on time and got to touch on every facet of the game. The boys are well-prepared for this tournament and they keep growing. Their mentality is incredible; they are very hungry and very humble despite the quality we have in the team,” coach Desmond Ofei said.
After qualifying for the final, Ghana will take on Uganda to battle for a gold medal in the football tournament on Saturday, March 23.
