Former Black Stars striker, Asamoah Gyan has praised the Ghana Football Association following the success chalked at the African Games.

At the 13th African Games, the Black Satellites under the guidance of Desmond Ofei clinched gold in the men's football competition.

Ghana's U-20 side stunned Uganda to win the ultimate with Jerry Afriyie scoring the only goal in the 90th minute.

In the women's football, the Black Princesses under Yusif Basigi also lifted gold. Tracy Twum and Abdulai Mukarama scored as the team came from a goal down to record a 2-1 win against Nigeria.

Reflecting on the performance of the teams, Gyan, who is a former Black Stars skipper and played at three different World Cups praised the Football Association.

According to him, the successes of the team mean the country's football governing body is doing something right.

"Recently, it has been getting better," he told Asempa FM as monitored by Footballghana.com.

"The young teams are winning trophies so you could see the Ghana Football Association (GFA) are doing something better so it will depend on how they push and convince the public," he added.
