Ghana international Thomas Partey is likely to stay at Arsenal after it was rumoured all summer that the Gunners were looking to offload the former Atletico Madrid star.

The Premier League side are no longer eager to sell the Black Stars midfielder according to sports journalist Fentuo Tahiru Fentuo.

The 30-year-old has now joined his teammates in the United States of America for their preseason tour to fine tune for the new season.

He was left behind at London Colney when Sunday when they first departed for the States.

Per Fentuo, Partey is noe very likely to stay at Arsenal than before. He wrote on Twitter: "Thomas Partey has joined the Arsenal team in the US for pre-season.

"He didn’t initially fly out with the team when they left on Sunday. It is understood Arsenal are no longer keen to offload the Ghanaian midfielder."

Thomas Partey was influential for the Gunners last season until his form dipped toward the end of the season.
