GHALCA boss Kudjoe Fianoo has announced that the upcoming top-four competition will be held at the TnA Stadium.

The tournament is scheduled to commence after the match between Medeama and Asante Kotoko, which will inaugurate the stadium. FA Cup winners Nsoatreman and Ghana Premier League champions Samartex will not participate due to their African campaign commitments. The competing teams this year are Bechem, Berekum Chelsea, Nations FC, and Medeama.

In an interview with Peace FM, monitored by Footballghana.com, Fianoo expressed gratitude to Gold Fields for their contribution to Ghanaian football. He highlighted the national significance of the new stadium and urged other companies to invest in football infrastructure.

"We planned to take the competition there for the opening of the stadium or to test run the facilities but a little problem was who holds the stadium we have to thank Gold Fields for what they have done for Ghana football. They didn't do it for only Tarkwa they did it for the entire nation because our members will go there and play league matches and FA Cup matches," he said.

"So we will say that Ghana clubs will benefit from the edifice and we thank them for doing that we will urge other companies to also follow suit because we have a huge deficit in football infrastructure.

"We planned for Tarkwa and we made some interactions they built it for Ghanaians but as to the agency to manage it there was a problem Tarkwa Municipal Assembly thought they would manage it and it was also the National Sports Athuroty it was back and forth. Eventually it was the National Sports Authority. We went to the Minister and he referred us to the National Sports Authority thankfully they agreed that we should play the competition there," he added.
