Black Meteors head coach Ibrahim Tanko has disclosed that his side will ready ahead of their upcoming 2023 African U23 Cup of Nations qualifiers against Mozambique.

Ghana U-23 side defeated Dreams FC 2-1 at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday to continue preparations for the crucial qualifiers.

Ghana drew a bye in the first of a three-round qualifying series for the tournament to be staged in Morocco next year.

"We are preparing them very well, this week we have a lot time to train with all of them," coach Tanko told Radio Gold Talk Sport.

"We still have two and a half weeks to the games so I think by then we will be ready for the game."

He added, "If you look at the squad, we have almost six or seven players from the Karim Zito squad so I think it’s a good start and we hope that they will show something."

Coach Ibrahim Tanko and his charges are expected to travel to the East African nation for the first leg before hosting their opponents in the 2nd leg at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.

The first and second legs are scheduled for October 21-23 and October 28-30 respectively.
