U23 AFCON: Black Meteors coach Ibrahim Tanko names 25-man squad for tournament

The head coach of the Ghana U23 team, Coach Ibrahim Tanko has settled on 25 players for the 2023 CAF U23 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

The tournament officially kicked off on Saturday, June 24.

In the first match of the tournament, host nation Morocco came from behind to beat Guinea 2-1.

As Ghana prepares for a clash against Congo, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced on the squad named by Black Meteors head coach Ibrahim Tanko for the tournament.

Top players notable in the squad include Danlad Ibrahim, Dominic Nsobila, Augustine Randolf, Ernest Nuamah, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh, and Emmanuel Yeboah.

The match between Ghana and Congo is scheduled to be played later today at the Prince Moulay Abdullah Stadium in Rabat.

The game will kick off at 16:00gmt.
