Uncertain future looms as Thomas Partey nears Arsenal exit amidst injury woes

Ghanaian midfield maestro Thomas Partey seems poised to bid farewell to Arsenal Football Club at the close of the 2023-2024 season.

The looming departure is fueled by a series of persistent injuries that have plagued the talented player, according to the latest report from Daily Mirror Football Reporter Ryan Taylor.

The Ghanaian maestro, whose last appearance for the Gunners dates back to October 24, 2023, was sidelined due to a persistent muscle injury that kept fans on the edge of their seats, eagerly awaiting news of his recovery.

Partey missed the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) which is been held in Ivory Coast.

This injury setback marked the first time Partey has missed an AFCON since his debut in 2016. The midfielder had consistently featured in three consecutive AFCON tournaments – 2017, 2019, and 2021.

"Thomas Partey had a little setback a few days ago, unfortunately, he’s not available," Arteta said ahead of the Liverpool clash

"Whether it is a matter of days or weeks, we will see. He felt something again in a very similar area," he added.

The 30-year-old has made four appearances in the English Premier League this season.
