Wa All Stars to engage Liberty Professionals in a friendly on Sunday

Ghana Premier League club, Wa All Stars have announced that they will be engaging Liberty Professionals in a friendly match at the Dansoman Carl Reindorf Park this weekend.

The Wa-based club which formerly belonged to ex-Ghana Football Association (GFA) president Lawyer Kwesi Nyantakyi was recently handed over to the news owner following successful negotiations.

A statement from the management of the club on July 1 shared, “I extend my compliments and wish to inform you that the ownership of WA ALL STARS FOOTBALL CLUB has changed effective 1st July, 2019.

“As a member of the Ghana Football Association, It is our privilege to confirm to you, Messrs Richard Kings Atikpo and John Painstil as the new owners of the club.

“I therefore wish to request that all courtesies be duly given to them in the discharge of their interest in WA ALL STARS FOOTBALL CLUB and Ghana Football”.

Under the leadership of the new owners, they are now gradually preparing the team for any upcoming tournament and have lineup up a warm-up game with Dansoman-based Liberty Professionals.

The match will be played on Sunday, September 22, 2019, and will kick off at 15:00GMT.
