Today, his Black Starlets will face off against Cote D'Ivoire in the opening match at the University of Ghana Stadium.

The match, scheduled for a 4:00 pm kickoff, presents Ghana with an opportunity to secure a positive start in their campaign. The team wrapped up their tournament preparations yesterday and are eager to showcase their readiness.

This tournament marks a significant milestone in Kingston's coaching career, following his retirement from professional football. His strategic prowess and leadership skills, developed during his playing days, will be put to the test as he guides the young Starlets.

In the lead-up to the tournament, Ghana participated in a four-nation tournament in Russia, organized by UEFA. This event, along with several friendly matches played in Accra, has helped the team gear up for the WAFU U-17 tournament.

Yesterday, the team received a morale-boosting visit from Ghana Football Association President, Kurt Okraku. He urged the players to give their best and strive to qualify for the 2025 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations.

Following today's clash, Ghana will face Benin in six days.
